alt.airports.uk.heathrow {tab} Heathrow Airport near London due to
have massive expansion in the next 20 years.
CHARTER: alt.airports.uk.heathrow discusses the proposed expansion of
Heathrow Airport over the next 20 or so tyears, including the
operating of Terminal 5, the new north / south railway link Airtrack,
the proposed Third Runway and Terminal 6 (necessitating the enforced
relocation of 35,00 or more local residents), and the involvment of
Ferrovial
the wholy privately Spanish owned BAA. Also included will be topics
on
Climate Change caused by unconstrained demand for cheap air travel.
The newsgroup will not be moderated. Binary, off-topic, spam and
advertising posts are not permitted. Discussion of hacks, cracks,
warez, serial numbers or the illegal exchange of copyrighted software
is banned.
JUSTIFICATION: There is considerable local opposition to the proposed
expansion, this is especially due to the lies and deceits from the
Government (DfT), and Spanish-owned BAA / Ferrovial. There needs to
be
forum via which these people can voice their concerns int eh public
domain.
There is currently no one group devoted to Heathrow Airport. These
messages were spread across about a dozen newsgroups and a central
repository would be convenient.
Thank you.
Hi
Sorry it just seems that you want to use the group to attack the owners of
BAA LHR. You have used this as your justification in starting the newsgroup.
Not very good IMHO.

Well some could hijack it and make it pro-BOAC or whatever it is. I
would do.

LOL. I think its a great idea to have the newsgroup. I use LHR so it would
be good to keep uptodate with things at the airport but, come on you dont
need to use the words LIES & DECEITS to justify it. Its needed for
debate/discussion simple enough.

He also seemed to have difficulty a while back realising that claiming he
was in the UK whilst still posting from a US Verizon IP address would make
him look even more silly than it did when he claimed he has friends in high
places in the US Police system - when in fact he is a collector of PC cap
badges and subject to the sort of ridicule normally associated with cranks
of his type.

How are your visits to the US going John? I recall they were going to be
subjected to severe scrutinty due to the cap badge collectors contacts?

I believe the reference to his further action via the `FEDS` is still on
Yappers as well. I am surprised the administrators allow such postings.

Funny you should ask that. Since the matters you mention took place I
have enjoyed (I think) five visits or so to the United States, one of
which was a transit. I have been welcomed warmly every time and
thoroughly enjoyed the visits. One of the visits was immediate following
the threats. No special scrutiny was made of me (as I expected) and
indeed the new arrangements for fingerprints and the like seem to have
speeded up the process of entry. I think his claims were silly and quite
ridiculous (as you mention). I didn't realise he was a collector.

The "FEDS" have certainly never been even in touch with me, nor any
"agent" of any sort, despite the claims made. I remain available to
assist in any proceedings of any sort, as would any other law abiding
citizen. If he is telling lies in other places, there is little we can
do to help that, but he should not be doing so!
