Ryanair statement

Closure of City of Derry Airport by UK CAA

Updated: Friday 25th May 16:45hrs

City of Derry Airport remains closed to all commercial flights as a result of
the suspension of its aerodrome licence by the UK CAA. We understand that
discussions are still ongoing between City of Derry Airport and the UK CAA, but
we have been unable to get any update from either party. In order to provide
intending passengers with some certainty and to allow them to make alternative
arrangements, Ryanair now plans to cancel all flights to/from City of Derry
Airport for the next two days Saturday 26th May and Sunday 27th.

We apologise sincerely for these cancellations and the late notification which
is entirely beyond Ryanair's control.

We will continue to remain in close contact with both City of Derry Airport and
the UK CAA and a further update will be provided at 13:00 hours on Sunday,
dependent on the outcome of discussions between the CAA and City of Derry
Airport.

Customers who are booked to travel on a Ryanair flight to/from City of Derry
Airport on the 25th,26th & 27th May 2007 may rebook to travel (free of charge)
from either Knock or Dublin Airports, subject to availability, using the free
change web link below. Please Note: We recommend that passengers do not
transfer onto alternative dates from City of Derry Airport as services at this
time cannot obviously be guaranteed. Affected customers can rebook via this
link up to the 28/05/2007 for travel on flights up to the 30/06/07.

16 of us booked on our 1P fares for June 20th watching with interest. See
when these daft compensation rules are quoted some folks would be looking
for RYR to provide us with alternative transport or compensation
